On 21st February, 1915, the 2nd Cornwall Light Infantry battalion of 82 Brigade, 27th Division moved into trenches near Dickebusch just to the south of Ypres where they remained until two days later. Walter Richards was killed on 22nd February when, according to the battalion diary, there was heavy artillery fire on their right flank. |
